    West Germany Carved Weighted Wood Chess Pieces Complete with Storage Box Vintage.
    Not sure where the West Germany stamp came from, but this set looks like an analysis set (king 3" or under) made by Lardy in the 1960s-70s. I suspect the set was sold to a German dealer who slapped the sticker on it for customs purposes. The white king in the set has the "Lardy Lean" caused by eccentric lathe work; a lot of Lardy sets have the lean, usually in the royal pieces. It's so common it's more feature than bug.
    Brown & Butterscotch. Some imperfections, and small splits. Amazing set. Hinged wood, finger joint box, marked Made in West Germany. Box measures approximately 7.5” wide, 4.75” deep and 2.5” tall. King measures approximately 2.75” tall, Queen 2.5” tall, Bishop 2” tall, Rook 1.5” tall, Knight 1.75” tall and pawn not quite 1.5”.
